ETICS facades

External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS)

ETICS involves placing the insulation material on the outside of the wall, minimizing thermal bridges and maximizing energy savings. This method protects the building from external weathering while using the thermal mass of the structural elements to stabilize temperatures throughout the day.

Ideal for both new constructions and renovations, ETICS upgrades thermal performance while giving façades a fresh, modern look.

Tips

#1 WET ZONE

No matter what insulation product is used in the rest of the façade, the use of extruded polystyrene (FIBRANxps ETICS GF) is obligatory in the wet zone. FIBRANxps provides the necessary water resistance and durability against moisture and mechanical impact.

#2 FIRE BARRIER

No matter what insulation is used on the façade, stone wool must be applied horizontally at each floor level and around openings. It prevents vertical fire spread and ensures compliance with fire regulations.

Layer Composition:

  1. Adhesive mortar (for fixing the insulation boards to the substrate)
  2. Thermal insulation boards FIBRANgeo/Rock7
  3. Mechanical fixings (anchors/dowels)
  4. FIBRAN caps
  5. Base coat (reinforcing mortar layer)
  6. Reinforcing fiberglass mesh (embedded in the base coat)
