The architecture and design concept of the hotel were developed around the recent archaeological rediscovery of a Roman road that once crossed the ancient city of Apulum. From the mosaic-style lighting fixtures in the lobby to the historical maps, frescoes, and local handcrafted artworks displayed throughout the hotel, Mercure Alba Iulia invites guests to explore layers of history. Each room is thematically designed, featuring influences from the Roman, medieval, or modern periods.
For enhanced safety and comfort within the building, Rock ACOUSTICplus thermal insulation boards were used. These are ideal for dry construction systems with any type of boards, double stud walls, ceilings, linings, and insulation between wooden floor beams.
